This weekend, we’re hearing a lot about “Black Friday”, “Small Business Saturday”, and “Cyber Monday”.
So, what’re you doing this Tuesday?
Tuesday, December 2, is “Giving Tuesday“: a global day of giving to improve the world. Now in its third year, “Giving Tuesday” was created in 2012 by New York’s 92nd Street Y, in partnership with the United Nations Foundation.
And it’s both a lot of fun, and a day that makes a huge difference.
“Giving Tuesday” is a day when individuals, nonprofits and businesses “give back” to support organizations about which they care the most. You can find out more about what’s going on in your area by checking out the Giving Tuesday website. You can also get involved by sharing a story, taking an “unselfie” or posting on your social media.
Can’t be a part of it this year, due to short notice/prior commitments? They’re now accepting applications for social-media ambassadors and partners for their 2015 event!
