Most visual artists use their particular medium to express the world they experience.
Contemporary light and shadow artist Claudia Bueno goes several steps beyond that.
Her creative process usually starts with an intangible–and a challenge to herself, to translate it into something her viewers can experience. Her results are thought-provoking, immersive, and often beautiful.
One such work was Claudia’s recent installation, “Fiberspace“, which came to Los Angeles in May 2014. Using video, light, sculpture and audio, Claudia had created a representation of the human central nervous system.
At her installation in Los Angeles’ Maker City, Claudia talked about her background, the origins of her “Fiberspace” project and her experiences creating it, as well as the ways in which the project had challenged her to grow, as an artist.
