His indoor farming company uses LED lighting, sensors and hydroponics in its proprietary growing system. Local Roots Farms delivers turnkey “Terra Farms” to clients including universities, hospitals and community centers.
Despite the twenty-first century look, Eric says, indoor farming existed thousands of years ago. At Make in LA’s Toolbox LA lunchtime event, in March he explained to his audience that the Ancient Babylonians discovered indoor farming, as one of the seven wonders of the world.
