How could your daily life be “greener”?
That’s what you’re invited to explore, September 25th through 27th, as Green Festival®, America’s largest and longest-running sustainability event returns to Los Angeles for its fifth year.
And if it’s anything like last year, it’s going to be a good time.
Los Angeles Green Festival® 2015 will include a green business marketplace, live entertainment, yoga, kids’ activities, cooking demos and inspirational speakers.
This year’s speaker lineup includes JPL’s Dr. Erika Podest, whose research focuses on using Earth observing satellites to study the ways climate change affects terrestrial ecosystems, and artist Jeff Garner, creator of sustainable red-carpet fashion designs. Vegan celebrity chef Leslie Durso, from the Food Network, will also be giving a presentation.
Oh–and you’ll get a chance to test drive a new electric car or hybrid! For the first time at Green Festival® Los Angeles, Volkswagen will be offering test drives of the latest plug-in hybrid and electric models in their 2015 green car fleet.
Our complete favorites from last year’s Los Angeles Green Festival® included the Origami Whales Project.
We also loved that attendees get to vote on the Green Festivals Community Award–even though having to choose just one of the contenders turned out to be a very tough choice!
But, that was last year. Now, you get to choose your Green Festival® favorites for 2015, if you’re among the 20,000 attendees they’re expecting.
(One more incentive to attend this year’s Los Angeles Green Festival®? They’re offering free admission to bicyclists!)
Los Angeles Green Festival® runs Friday, September 25th through Sunday, September 27th, at Los Angeles Convention Center’s South Hall K. Hours are 12 noon to 6 pm, Friday September 25th; 10 am to 6 pm, Saturday, September 26th; and 10 am to 5 pm, Sunday, September 27th. Children under 16 and bicyclists get free admission, and student and military discounts are available. Here’s the link for more information.
