Jill Shargaa is going to make you laugh. She’s also going to make you question something most of us say on a routine basis.
Jill is both a professional comedian, and a graphic designer whose portfolio has included extensive work for Universal Studios and Walt Disney Imagineering.
Her comedy career started in 1979, when she sold one-liners to Joan Rivers–and continued with an appearance on ABC-TV’s “America’s Funniest People”, performances with Rosie O’Donnell and Lily Tomlin, and appearances at comedy clubs throughout the southeast.
Jill, who created the long-running all-female comedy show, “An Evening of Estrogen“, in 1996, also gave a hilarious TED talk, recently, entitled, “The Awe of Awesome”. Earlier this week, she learned that TED had included it in their eight-minute highlight reel, “The Year in Ideas“!
Jill talked about her background, her comedy show and how she came to create her TED talk. She was–talented, funny and compelling.
