Broadcast professional Brian Baltosiewich does something that terrifies a lot of people.
In addition to his twenty-plus years working in all aspects of radio and television, Brian has now added stand-up comedy to his resume. And when he takes the stage, he’s using public speaking–and humor–to get past a roadblock.
Brian, who is a senior marketing producer and director at WBTV in Charlotte, North Carolina, has won numerous awards for his writing and production work (including an Addy for this particular spot he created). He’s also a lifelong stutterer, who does part-time standup both to educate his audiences about stuttering, and to challenge himself to step outside his comfort zone.
Brian talked about his background, how he became a stand-up comedian and what he would like his audiences to take away from his performances.
