Unbelievably, WordPress has now been around for eleven years, according to social media manager and photographer Adam Silver, of Silver Lining Productions. And if the sold-out three-day WordCamp event is any indication, it’s going stronger than ever.
Saturday, Day Two of WordCamp L.A., will include sessions ranging from “Philosophical WordPress Development” to “WordPress SEO in 2014”, with workshops on legal issues, monetization and troubleshooting among the day’s twenty-four sessions. There will also be a “Happiness Bar” with WordPress experts on hand to answer questions, a “Selfie Scavenger Hunt” and an “After Party” on Saturday evening. Then, on Sunday, attendees have a chance to say “thank you” for WordPress’s free services–by participating in a “Contribution Sunday” work session.
While the event is sold out (and each of the three on-campus workshop venues were pretty full), WordCamp L.A.’s site offers several ways to find out if anyone has an extra ticket.
And if you’d like to attend a future WordCamp, here’s a list of upcoming ones, from WordCamp Central–including one in San Francisco, next month.
