At CES® 2018, in Las Vegas, Dr. van der Helm, who is the founder of Netherlands-based sleep consultancy firm Shleep, was on hand at startup area Eureka Park™ Marketplace. She and her team of neuroscientists and sleep researchers had just released their brand-new app for sleep coaching, three weeks earlier.
This new app draws on cutting-edge scientific research on sleep and its effects on the brain. The “Shleep” app is available, free, for the first three sessions.
Dr. van der Helm has a degree in psychology and has focused her research, for more than a decade, on sleep and its effects on the brain. She shared the story of creating the Shleep app, explained the ways it works and shared some of her research on how the way we live affects our ability to sleep well.
