If you are a veteran or service member, thank you.
No matter what happens, we’re still the United States. And on this Veterans Day, we salute you and recognize that our freedom–including free speech–is rooted in your service and sacrifice.
Canadian singer/musician Ed Roman includes his single, “Lay One Down”, on his latest album, “Red Omen”. Ed released “Lay One Down” on Veterans Day, 2015. But he didn’t stop with just creating a great tribute to our veterans.
When Ed created “Lay One Down”, he donated all the profits from the single to “Heart Songs for Veterans”, an organization through which artists use their music to help veterans and active service members. Among the charities Heart Songs for Veterans supports are the Veterans Crisis Line, Pillars of Freedom Foundation and Luke’s Wings® Wounded Warrior Transportation Assistant Program.
If you get time today, check out Ed’s “Lay One Down” video. And if you enjoyed freedom of speech, religion. the right to disagree nonviolently or any other type of freedom today in the U.S.–thank a veteran.
