We&#8217;ve just been wowed by the ways they&#8217;ve made &#8220;science fiction&#8221; a reality in our lifetime.<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/player.blubrry.com\/id\/134706550?cache=1723397110#textcolor-Dark&#038;backgroundcolor-ffffff\" title=\"Blubrry Podcast Player\" scrolling=\"no\" width=\"100%\" height=\"165px\" frameborder=\"0\"><\/iframe>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8220;To me, it&#8217;s always the human story,&#8221; says NASA Chief Historian Dr. Brian Odom.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He&#8217;s discussing the Apollo 11 Moon landing, which celebrated its 55th anniversary in July, 2024.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">And the impact of the program, which was no less than revolutionary to education and the way the world reimagined the future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Today, the lessons of the Apollo program still resonate, as <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nasa.gov\/specials\/artemis\/index.html\">NASA&#8217;s Artemis program<\/a> prepares to return humans to the Moon&#8211;and ultimately, to create a lunar outpost which may allow travel to Mars.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Brian talked about the circumstances which led to the Apollo Moon missions, the Apollo 11 launch h on July 16, 1969, and the lessons of the lunar landing and exploration which still resonate as NASA plans future space travel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">(Like to know more about the Apollo 11 Moon mission?
